About
Sean Hann

I built HannTech to fill a specific gap: mid-market organizations with enterprise-level infrastructure problems and no access to senior-level expertise to solve them.

The background

I'm Sean Hann, based in Calgary. I've spent over 15 years working at the senior level of enterprise IT — as an IT Architect owning infrastructure and security for a 600-person transportation company, working within a broader IT team, as a solutions consultant leading cloud migrations and infrastructure buildouts for mid-market clients across Western Canada, and most recently as a national field engineer for Dell Canada, delivering complex data center implementations for enterprise clients coast to coast.

Before that, I served in the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (Information Management Office). That background shaped how I approach every engagement — with discipline, clear documentation, and a bias toward getting it right the first time rather than patching it later.

I hold active Canadian Government and Finance security clearances, which means I can work in regulated environments that most consultants can't touch.

What I actually do

I plan, architect, and build. I design infrastructure roadmaps, execute complex migrations, and implement security frameworks for organizations that need it done properly and don't want to manage the chaos of figuring it out themselves.

What I don't do is reactive break-fix work. MSPs are excellent at what they do — ongoing monitoring, helpdesk, and day-to-day support. Where I fit is the project work that sits alongside that: the complex deployments, migrations, and security architecture that need a senior architect rather than a support ticket.

If that sounds like what you're looking for, let's talk.
